Fifth Amendment Verdict: Where The Country Is Heading To?

The fifth amendment of constitution has been repealed by the highest court of the country. Well and Good! In this weird country everything is possible by every one.
Everything is unpredictable and no one is reliable. Country runs by Hujug and whims of people. The judges and the people who do deal with justice system should remain disaffected from the Hujug and whims. Alas! They are not. Party politics is everywhere parliament to secretariat, secretariat to supreme court, and courts to cantonment.

A silent revolution took place in the world while Muslims were celebrating Eid festival. Most of the global citizens of our planet may not be aware of this critical turning point of current world affair. The repercussion of this defining moment is immense and far-fetched. Swiss ban on minarets by applying the tool of democracy has sent a strong and irreparable wrong signal to 1.57 billion people of Muslim faith. Isn’t an irony that Swiss core values become jeopardized due to the erection of 4-6 meter concrete bar? This is the first time since 1893, when a strong discriminatory initiative has been constitutionalized aiming to single out a specific community in Switzerland. The preachers of secularism, rationalism and freedom of expression become tight-lipped when Islam or Muslim is attacked irrationally in the land of “Enlightenment”. Sometimes, few faint voices are heard in order to protect the business interest in the Muslim world. Tariq Ramadan, a Swiss citizen, a professor of Islamic Studies in Oxford and Erasmus University, has nicely depicted the current islamophobic phenomenon in Europe in an article in the Guardian:

উত্‌সর্গঃ মতিউর রহমান নিজামী । অনেক মানুষ আছে যারা এই মানুষের রূপ ধারনকারী পশুটিকে নিজ হাতে গুলি করে মারতে চান, কেউ চান তাঁকে ফাঁসি দিতে, কেউ কেউ বলেন এই “মাল”টিকে জ্যান্ত পুঁতে ফেলা উচিত, অতি আবেগ প্রবণ কেউ কেউ তার দাড়ি আর ভুরু কামিয়ে দিতে চান… কেন জানি আমার কোন শাস্তিই পছন্দ হয় না । কোন শাস্তি মন মত হলে কোনোটা আবার প্রাণ মত হয় না ।

প্রায়-ই ভাবি হুজুর নিজামীকে কোলে করে বসাই, আদর করে প্রতিদিন সকালে দুই চামচ কাঁচা গু খাওয়াই… আর কিছুক্ষণ পর পর বলি… হুজুরের ভাল্লাগে ?… লাগে ?…

Allah and God, both are religious sensitive issues that are related with beliefs.

People who believe in Allah and God, express to pray, or say gratitudes or thanks; they also seek help for any kind of matter, seek knowledge, seek mercies, seek protections, ask forgiveness’ etc., can request anything, for any kind of problem to Allah and God. Even, sometimes they do not hesitate to swear, or blame to Allah and God.

The Muslims believe that the Allah is the one and only creator, controller and ruler of everything of the whole vast universe. He is neither born nor he has child(ren), nor He has partner. He is Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient. He is universally true, perpetually ever living and constant. He can hear us, not all of us can hear Him. But other religious people like the Christians, Hindus, Jews, Buddha’s, Pagans etc. believe in God. But the definition or existence of God is different to these people.

কাল ছিল আমেরিকাতে রমজানের দ্বিতীয় দিন। বাংলাদেশে রোজার প্রথম দিন। বাংলাদেশর সময় আমেরিকা থেকে ১২ ঘ্টার মতো এগিয়ে। অর্থ্যাৎ আমার এখানে যখন সোমবার  রাত এগারোটা বাংলাদেশে তখন মঙ্গলবার দুপুর একটা (বাংলাদেশের ডে-লাইট সেভিং সময়)। আমেরিকার বিভিন্ন শহরের সাথে সেটা  ভিন্ন হবে। এই হিসাবে, বাংলাদেশে রোজা আগে শুরু হওয়ার কথা। কিন্তু চাদ দেখা কমিটি নাকি চাঁদ দেখতে পারেননি, তাই একদিন দেরিতে রোজা শুরু হয়েছে।

যারা ধর্মীয় গুরু, তাদের কাছে এর ভালো ব্যাখ্যা পাওয়া যাবে। কিন্তু সাধারন জ্ঞান প্রয়োগ করে, এটার উত্তর আমি পাইনি। আমি মোটামুটি নিশ্চিত, আমার সাধারন জ্ঞান খুবই কম। নইলে এই হিসাবটা মিলাতে পারছি না কেন? বর্তমান সময়ে যখন জ্ঞান বিজ্ঞান এতোটাই উন্নতি হয়েছে যেখানে আমরা বলে দিতে পারি, চাদ ঠিক কোন মুহুর্তে কোথায় অবস্থান করবে, সেখানে রোজা কিংবা ঈদের সময় সেটা নির্ণয় করতে আমাদেরকে আকাশের দিকে তাকিয়ে থাকতে হয় কেন! যখন মানুষের হাতে এই প্রযুক্তি ছিল না, তখন তারা চাঁদ দেখে দিন-ক্ষণ নির্ণয় করতেন। এই ২০০৯ সালে এসেও আমাদেরকে সেটা করতে হবে! আমাদের একই গ্রহে বিভিন্ন দেশ, চাঁদকে ঠিকই দেখতে পায় কিন্তু আমরা ঢাকা থেকে সেটা দেখতে পাই না। (একবার অবশ্য পুরো দেশ দেখতে না পেলেও, একটি বালক নোয়াখালীতে চাঁদ দেখতে পেয়েছিল, যার উপর নির্ভর করে ঈদও হয়ে গিয়েছিল।)

যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের নিউআর্ক বিমান বন্দরে বোম্বের বিখ্যাত চলচ্চিত্র অভিনেতা শাহরুখ খানকে দুই ঘন্টার উপর আটকে রেখে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করা হয়েছে। এ সময়ে তাকে টেলিফোন করতেও দেয়া হয় নি। জনপ্রিয় মুসলিম চলচ্চিত্র অভিনেতার নামের শেষে 'খান' থাকায় তাকে এভাবে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করা হয়েছে এবং এই ঘটনাকে শাহরুখ খান অনভিপ্রেত হিসেবে মন্তব্য করেছেন। বিস্তারিত

উল্লেখ্য, কিছুদিন আগে একটি মার্কিন এয়ারলাইন্স ভারতের সাবেক প্রেসিডেন্ট এপিজে আব্দুল কালামকে নিরাপত্তার অজুহাতে জুতা খুলতে বাধ্য করেছিল।
